ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kelly has a rich artistic background that began with her journey as a model and the performing arts. After many fulfilling years in that field, she made the decision to step away and focus on raising a family. Kelly  transitioned to a long career in the administrative side of education, while always carrying a quiet passion for writing and live theatre. Now retired, Kelly has turned her focus to that long-held dream.

As an emerging author, Kelly is passionate about storytelling and dedicated to sharing her unique voice and perspective through her writing. Her first novel, I Am Enough, reflects her deep commitment to capturing the inner landscapes of the human experience. Through the beautiful simplicity of her writing, she allows her characters' voices to shine, blending grounded realism with elements of fantasy and personal transformation.

Currently, Kelly is engaged in her next creative endeavour: co-authoring and acting in a stage play about dementia, titled I Don’t Belong Here - Stories and Songs at the Edge of Forgetting, which started touring in the fall of 2025.  (see 'About The Play' Tab for more information)

When she’s not writing, Kelly enjoys painting, golfing, and traveling. Most of all, she loves going on "Nana Ventures" with her grandchildren and spending time with her two children. Kelly lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with her greatest supporter, her husband, Greg.

A message from the author

I never could have imagined that I would find myself in the midst of so many incredible "firsts." From writing and publishing my debut novel to co-authoring my very first stage play, this journey has been nothing short of a delightful whirlwind! Each experience has brought its own lessons, challenges, and unforgettable moments that continue to shape who I am.

When I began writing ‘I Am Enough,’ I thought I was just telling a story. I had no idea I would end up drawing so much from my own journey.  Although my own story is quite different from that of my main character, Anna, her journey evolved alongside mine as I navigated my own emotions and revelations. Her path of self-discovery echoed my own struggles and triumphs, making this experience profoundly transformative for me.

I truly hope that by sharing Anna’s story, you might find inspiration to embark on your own journey of self-discovery. We all have stories to tell, and sometimes, all it takes is a little courage to dive deep and uncover the truths within us. I can't wait to share this adventure with you!

Kelly Wyatt

From the moment I met Kelly many years ago, I knew she was destined to tell stories that would inspire and ignite the imagination. Her incredible sense of creativity and storytelling has always been a defining part of who she is. This novel, 'I Am Enough', marks a pivotal moment in her journey, where she steps away from her inner self and emerges as a storyteller in her own right. With a soul touched by quiet kindness and gentility, Kelly's authenticity and imagination shine through in her writing, especially when exploring the harsh realities of life. The world she creates in 'I Am Enough' will astonish, intrigue, and soften readers of all kinds. Her words are thoughtful, drawn from a deep understanding of the human psyche, and carefully researched to reflect a range of perspectives, including themes of resilience and self-discovery. It thrills me beyond words to see my dear childhood friend share her voice, her thoughts, and her stories with the world. I have no doubt she will leave an indelible mark on all who encounter her work.
